Trunk lid

I was wondering how you guys attach your trunk lid pieces? Do you use screws through the metal or is there any other method im not thinking of?
Also how do you think it would look if I had a piece of carpet or vinyl cut out and then glued it to the underside of the trunk lid and had the edges folded over and sewn to give it a clean look?
Im not sure if I really wanna fiberglass my trunk lid as I have nothing really to put on it but I hate looking at deadening.

I have heard bad things about the "flip-flop" trunk mod. Some people say that the trunk never sits right when you close it? IF you have a way to modify it while maintaining the stock look when closed im interested.

Screws are preferred as adhesive is either permanent or it lets go over time.
Lethal - can you shoot me that too dukk@hotmail.com
Scarlemthug - yeah I would think that with the arms pressing up on the lid when closed and no solid attachment between the two that the front edge would lift. Seems to be the case in some photos I have seen. I would add a bracket to secure the lid tight to the arms when not in 'show mode'
