Upgrading to 0Ga…

Ive heard that upgrading the wires would really help to stop dimming when playing music… I was looking at my wiring today but im not sure where or which wires to upgrade… ive done 0ga wire from negative to chassis but I need some help for the rest… I took some pics of my engine and circled 2 parts that I think it has to do with the negative or positive side….

Thx

what your doing is called the big 3
1) Battery negative to chassis
2) Alternator to battery positive
3) Chassis to engine

and you may want to fuse the alternator to battery. if you do a search its been dissused on this board a few times already

what you need (in my opinion) is 1 gauge everywhere. but that is me. if 4 is your cup o tea. then 4. most importantly and here is the rub

get your baterry load tested at crappy tire and make sure its ok. also you might need an alternator. depending o what set up you got. you might have that good ole 65 amp alternator in there. better wires is one of the solutions that will not make the problem go away but rather start to fix it .

alternator, battery(which it seems you have already) and wiring. all three might need to be looked at.

good luck keep us posted on your progress.

P.S. my guess is on the alternator.

1. i used to solder
2. the connectin is actually worse from physics stand point
3. 8 (4 post and 4 neg) soldered ring terminals for 0 gauge wire looks like a huge bulk when u try to screw them together. squished ones are alot easier to deal with and arange in the way that u want when you have so many

i used to solder but crimpin is better for spl purposes.
