VW Radio Broken Clips

VW Radio Broken Clips
Hi everyone, not sure if this is in the right area or if this has been asked before as I am new here.
I have a 2004 VW golf, I know how to remove the radio with the DIN keys its a double DIN system however I took the car to an audio shop to have it removed and he told me the clips are broken, thats why the DIN keys would not pull it out for me. I have pulled apart the dash and have the radio out but its stuck in the molding that houses it.
I can get to the radio from the back now with a screw driver and I can get the DIN keys in the front still, but even with it out I still cant figure out how to get it out of the housing, anyone have any suggestions before I end up going to VW to have it removed or end up buying a new housing.
Please keep in mind I need the plastic housing so I cant destroy it.
Thanks.
