Weird deck wiring problem

I helped a friend wire up his deck, Matched every colour coded wire to wire and it seems the front speakers are backwards. If I fade to the right it fades to the left speaker...

I double & tripple checked the wires and they all match colour for colour.

Anyone know what to do about this? Or just leave it the way it is.

Are they in phase? If they are in phase and you don't mind having to reverse fader/balance, I'd leave it. If you have time alignment and want to use it, you will definitely want to fix it.

It's a 2006 Corolla CE.

In order to use the time-alignment all speakers need to be used with the deck, But only the fronts are used so you cannot set it (Sounds fine how it is).

I believe there is phase control on the deck only for the woofer.

you had mentioned in your previous post when you go to the right the left speaker plays, here are the wiring colors for your 06 corolla speakers, check and verify with what you had done.

Left front + : pink
Left front - : purple

Right front + : lt.green
Right front - : blue

Left rear + : black
Left rear - : yellow

Right rear + : red
Right rear - : white

Receiver Wire Harness For select Geo, Lexus, Scion, and Toyota models, 1987-up at Crutchfield.com

This is the harness, If I remember correctly there is no pink wire.

Every colour is matched on each harness, So I don't really understand what the problem is.

these wires are the actual Toyota factory wires at the plug of the factory deck, not the aftermarket plug (metra : 70 -1761 ) (scosche: ta 02) etc etc

pull the speaker wires from the harness and start testing with a AA battery.

How in the heck do you test that way?

Sorry typed before I thought about it if you connect a battery to the positive and negative it will send a sound through to the corresponding speaker right?
