what kind of coils do the subs have? If they are dual 4's then you can parallel all 4 coils for a 1 ohm load which will give you 1200wrms. Thats 600rms per sub and is more than enough to power those subs

the subs are clarion srw 1052's and they have Dual 4 Ohm Heat Resistant Voice Coils.. so what you said should work.. im pretty new to this.. what is the benefit of a 1 ohm load over a higher one? and is the 1 ohm setup the only one which will get the amp to fully power the subs?

thanks for the help

with the amp you have chosen it makes its rated power of 1200wrms at 1ohm. The only other wiring configuration you can do will give you 4ohms. That amp will only make about 300wrms at 4ohms. Thats only 150w a sub.... so if you wanna power them right you will have to run it at 1ohm. There is actually no benefit in running lower impedience besides getting more power out of the amp. The lower the ohm load the less efficient the amp is so its a bigger strain on your car.
