But i have a song that i judge every thing around, but i havent got a chance to play it yet
Me too.....I like Dire Straits "Money for Nothing" and "Your Latest Trick" off Brothers in Arms......

Both Tracks are great for testing and tweaking.....for me anyways....

So the last 12 hours have been interesting to say the least....

So ill begin with getting a drink of jim beam in me....

.... The rant you are waiting for will be with you momentarily. Thank you.

....ah thats better. Im ready.

So on my drive to work to day i decided to really open the little 10 up. Boom boom boom... Sniff sniff...

Some thing smelled burnt

So, i immediatly turned every thing down, and kinda assumed my amp was overheating.

Well i kinda left it at that till i had to make a run to our supplier for work. Had the stereo turned up to about 70%, no problems...

Did what i had to do for work and headed back. But turned on one of those song i mentioned before "cowboy" kidrock... And turned it up to about too about 95% and it sounded amazing... Im so impresed with that little sub....

When

Sniff sniff.... Oh oh....

I look down at the sub box and its smoking... Bad.... Real bad...

Sub is still pounding away, no distortion nothing....

So i immediatly turn it way down... And the smoke start to go away.

So im like what the frak... The subs suppose to be 400w rms and im only driving it with 500rms.

So i get to work, push on the cone... Feels fine super smooth. Which has got me confused. But im seriously begining to thing i cooked the sub.

So after work i nervously pull the sub back out and expect to see the charred remains of my voice coils...

And....

I find the chared remains of my....

....

Dampining cloth. The cloth was to close to the coils and got serious singeing

So sub was fine...

Quite a relief

I use Money for Nothing too. I've heard that song so much I can't stand to listen to it except for the first minute or two.

After the song kicks into gear at the 2 minute mark I've heard what I need out of it......the next track on the CD has that tasty sax solo at the beginning and once I've tweaked both segments into some kind of shape I move on down the USB stick for the rest of it......
