wiring ALPINE MRV-T757

wiring ALPINE MRV-T757

lemme get this straight ... my 2 channel amp (alpine mrv-t757) to 2 alpine type S 12" subs (4ohm + 4 ohm) ... i just wire one sub to each channel? ... im new to all this there seems to be alot to know about ohms, resistance, etc... please help.

You are correct.....that amp cannot be wired to those 2 subs any other way due to the limits of the amp....make sure both subs are wired + and - to the correct points on the amp and you're good to go....

awsome thanx a lot!... just hav to correctly wire the + and the - ... any tips on that or is it pretty straight forward ... the subs hav 2 sets of ou+/- whats that all about?

The subs are dual voice coil 4 ohm or single voice coil 4 ohm?

Lightbulb

On each sub wire + and + together and wire - and - together....run + and - to one channel on the amp.......this gives you a 2ohm stereo load for the amp which is the best it can do.....

For a diagram of how to do it, see Section 58 on this website. You will have to scroll down to the part where they show Dual Voice Coil drivers
