NOPE.. it's pretty wide.. I also have the policy of not installing any remote starters/alarms I do not sell. Except Pro Start from Cacatire. Since I make just as much off them in time as I do installing and selling a compustar witha blade module.. I love the blade modules

Problem with remote starts is invariably the dude does not walk in with a Viper or Compustar. It is ALWAYS some bunkass brand like START GOOD NOW!! or written in a language nobody speaks, and consists of 7 relays, a control box the size of a postage stamp, and 6km of unlabeled 22ga wire. They're always way proud of their $12.00 jewel too that they want in their $65,000 F350Diesel...

^ Indeed. In a GM you would never know if it was the starter or the car that failed..

I remember a installer friend installing a Compustar Alarm/Remote start
in a Chevy Cobalt.....what a pain in the **** it was
the wiring codes were out of wack...like it had 2 different years of wiring
put into the same car....

See, now I've had more problems with the Blade modules losing programming and causing intermittent starts than any other bypass When they DO work they're awesome, but I just found reliability an issue....

As for the OP's issue, I can understand both sides of the story. The installer could have solved the problem with what was described earlier in the thread. He signs and you sign the reciept stating that they're strictly covering labour/workmanship, and that's that. You're happy cuz your gear's in, he's happy cuz he made his money... Oh well, right? Lesson learned
