I think my Ryobi is 1/2" that's why I didn't go with the dewalt kit and the stupid 700$+ price tag.

 

At Canadian Tire, I can't recall anyone returning a Mastercraft Maximum drill and only one DeWalt drill ...

The 3 drills that were returned most while I worked at CT were,

1) Jobmate (don't ever buy Jobmate)
2) Black & Decker
3) Mastercraft

The rest were rarely returned with defects, at least at my store. As for feel, I'd recommend that you go down to CT and feel both ...

 

It all depends what it's being used for as well, you could have this "Jobmate" use it for minimal work and last forever but introduce it to some dirt and grime *spelling I think* and it will turn to jello overheat melt whatever, you buy quality of build for the right job.

As for use, I'm installing home security, so i guess there will be a certain amount of over the head work, but for the most part, at eye lever or lower!
