That is NOT customs.
Domestic flights within one country do not have customs. They have security checks which consist of metal detector and X-ray screening, but that is not customs.

Customs deals with the importing and exporting of goods, and the passing of people across borders - immigration essentially. Customs check for unclaimed alcohol, food items (fruits and meats often prohibited) firearms etc. Customs deals with ALL the bagage you take on the plane, checked or carry on. Airport customs require you to fill out a card declaring what you are taking in with you. When you arrive in the country you have a brief interview about the contents of the card with an official which could potential lead to a more extensive screening.

NONE of this happens on domestic flights. A Domestic flight is "Put your bag on the conveyor belt - put your wallet, watch and jewelry in this tray and step through the metal detector"
</font>
Customs officers run those metal detector-xray places do they not Your referred to customs if your trying to smuggle drugs domestically too u know lol

Ok.. first off.. it's called Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.

It will become part of immigration, but that hasn't legally happened yet.

At that time it will be called Canadian Border Services Agency.

(to anyone that wants to argue.. I work at CCRA, I know what I'm talking about)

</font>
Uhhh... no, sorry, you're wrong.

You only go through customs for International travel. Customs officers are the people that ask you where you have been, where you're going, and if you have a passport. (and whatever else they feel like asking)

The other people are just airport security officers and don't go through the training that customs officers go through.

And as far as I know you don't go see customs officers for trying to smuggle drugs domestically. Airport security detains you while the cops are called.

JordyO is in the know.

Z24, have you flown internationally? Have you flown domestically? Compare the two and there is quite a difference - especially when international OUTSIDE of North America.

Oh yeah, what Planet are you from that has domestic customs?

Still learning from Customs class thanx I've been through internationally, figured domestically they had something similar to control trafficking of illegal substances ah well my bad

Jordy-O I'm informed that its already Canada border services agency Could be and probably am wrong but i guess she's teaching in advance, she used to work in customs for like 12 years Customs
