anyone here into pc gameing?
I was a hardcore Motor City Online player until it went offline :Bs:
Lately I have been moving up through NFS Most Wanted. Up to #3.
I like FPS games too as long as they are more shoot than plan and don't have 900,000 freakin commands.. Redneck Rampage is a favourite cuz it's easy to play and damned hilarious.

I play basically only two genres: driving and FPS (Tom Clancy-type espionage games. Not the space-type stuff).
Grizz, that Interstate76 sounds cool! If you liked that, I'm suprised you never had the opportunity to try Motor City Online. Best driving game, ever. Period. ALL American muscle and ALL pre-73. Oh, and I'm glad to see another person recognizes Porsche Unleashed as being the most realistic driving game of the NFS series and one of the most ever to date.
I recently tried the ToCa Race Driver 2 demo from Codemasters. Very good graphics (very NFS PU-like; not at all like the cruddy graphics of the Underground series), very good driving simulation but race-tracks only. I like a game on the street or through the countryside. I look forward to the new ToCa 3 coming out soon and trying out GT Legends(factory road-racing cars from the 60s and 70s, US and Euro).

Honestly, I probably spend more time playing emulators and classic games than anything else. Emulators are usually free, and ROMs aren't that hard to find.
F.E.A.R. was excellent... Great storyline, creepy sequences and killer graphics (if you PC can handle higher settings). The A.I. for the computer-controlled players is unreal... Some of the things they do blows me away, like diving behind a counter, then just blind-shooting you from across the room without popping up.
I've been playing through Quake 4 as well, although to me it doesn't really offer anything beyond Doom 3, other than better multiplayer support. I'm really picky with FPS games nowadays, because I think the genre has been beaten to death. Improving graphics is all well and good, but it's still the same old frag-fest. They need to teach the old dog some new tricks.
If you're into MMORPGs, I can vouch for World of Warcraft. My friend let me borrow his copy of the game so I could get a ten-day trial account, and it stole many an hour away from my life. I'm debating whether or not to buy it, for one because it's US$14.99/month, which kind of obligates you to get your money's worth out of the game, ie playing it constantly. Secondly, I know I'd be up all night playing it all the time, and I'm afraid it would take over my life. Very cool game though... The sheer massiveness of it is overwhelming. The World is just absolutely huge, and there are hundreds of people playing at once, so there's always interaction with other people.
Anyhow, those are my reccommendations.
