Buddy won one year before last i think, when they came out....custom made for himself.


Before that point, me and buddy used to be pretty even hitters, we'd alway sbe neck n neck, then i got my new custom built driver....won it in a silent auction,paid $120 - was worth $300. The next year he won the R7. Granted my driver is more forgiving than my old killer whale which was wayyyy too whippy for me anyways...., it just doesn't seem like the ball go's very far. When i connected properly with my old driver i could hit further.

When i connected with my old driver, it went really good. At the staff golf tourney when i won, they figured about 320. Which well, probably once in a lifetime thing, but anyways. Average drives are probably 290ish with it, but it was hard to hit straight, had a solid slice do to the whippiness.

So when i got my new driver, you hit it feels like your crushing it, sounds good looks good, go's a fair amount straiter, but doesn't go very far
I now average about 270.


So when buddy got his R7, we'd still golf together, but i can SMASH a shot out there, and he can hit a slice that comes around back on the fairway that he didn't get all of to begin with, and he'll outdrive me 90% of the time. So all in all, he loves his R7 and GRRRRRRRRRRRRRrr i wish he wasn't the wrong hand (right) otherwise i'd try it and steal it every now n then.

Anywho, i'm pretty impressed with his R7 just by what it's done to him. Now i'm looking at an R7 425 10.5 degree on ebay here....for about $250 cdn or so, brand new.

Is there any reason not to be looking into an R7 or as impressed about it as i am.
