I havn't had any spyware or virus's found on my computer since I started using the free version of limewire 2 weeks ago.

It's a newsgroup/usenet client. It owns P2P, but isn't always free (depends on your ISP. My ISP (Shaw) offers 6 free Usenet servers for their users. You have to contact your ISP to get the necessary information (server address, username, password, etc.) I rarely download at less than 500 KB/s and usually download at more than 600 KB/s.
At 600 KB/s, you can download 100 MB (about the size of a long 192 kbps mp3 album) in 171 seconds (2 minutes and 51 seconds).
They also have a specific section for lossless audio, too. Why get MP3 when you can download that fast ?
