i remember this story. it's truly sad how we get treated like a god damn step-child.
sometimes i think it would've been better if we were still under british rule. however, now the british is kissing american butt more than ever. well, at least tony blair is.
the cia was convinced that trudeau was a communist that's why they have a big file on him to this day. god rest his soul.
our best hope after trudeau was cretian. sure he was an oddball but he certainly didn't take **** from anyone. now we have paul martin who's going to shove his head even further up the american ****. YOU ALL SHOULD HAVE VOTED NDP! lol
luckily,
farenheit 9/11 will be out on DVD just before the election to remind americans who not to vote for. as long as gee-dub-ya-jr is out we can't do much worse.

Someone up there made a point of big whoop about a plane making a 2G turn, while the new ones can do 11g. The point that was missed was that it had to do this turn at Mach 2. Kiss your butt goodbye is right, most planes would come apart with this type of force.

It doesnt matter if it did a 2g turn at mach 2 or 10mph, 2g is 2g, 2 times the force of gravity. Even an average cessna airplane can handle 2g turns. There was no point missed. Doing a 2g turn at mach 2 just means the turning radius would be insanely huge. Which was one of my original points. What good is a plane that has no manoeverability.

The design of the Arrow was to intercept big russian "bear" bombers coming over the north pole to North america for an attack. Russia had nothing, and i mean NOTHING that would ever compare to the speed of the arrow. I still think the yanks got ahold of the designs for the iroquoi engines, and used it to their advantage. I'd also like to point out that the head nasa designer that designed the shuttle was the same guy who designed the arrow, just about everyone who worked for avro went to work for nasa. Thanks Deifenbaker......
oh and there was a post earlier about the F-18 being a canadian plane. Yes and no. The F-18 Was designed by McDonnall Douglas and the rights were sold to to Canada.
And I know i'm rambling, but I would have to say that if there was any plane in the world that might have the similar engine design to the iroquois engines, I'd have to say it's probably the F-15's huge p&w engines.
