Battery
I drive a little **** of a Hyundai Accent, 1998. In Feb I put in a system. Since then, everything is hunky dorry, I can run my system, I never have any power problems, but now out of the blue, whether running my car for 5 minutes, or 5 hours, after I turn off my car, I can never get it started (Never turn over, turn over a few times and die.. or turn over like 50 times and then start). IT is the same whether I am running my music or not.
Cdn Tire will check my Alt Battery and Starter. If the battery is shot (for instance, it is not holding a charge, etc), what battery should I get (either one of theirs, or another one), and what type of power should I look for... 700 or so Amps? I am changing the setup of my amp from entier system to just pure bass, and my buddies SUV, (much larger alt, and battery), causes his lights to dim, so I just want to make sure that if I get a new battery, after turning off my car it will start again!
If they say my car is fine, I may upgrade the battery for the hell of it which is why I am posting on here. Also, to reduce wear on the battery, would a Cap. Do it? Cadence doesn't take a lot of power so I don't need a lot of instant - reserve that a Cap. Provides. Anyone has Pricing.. Just a cheap, effective, one will do.
Thanks,
Kevin

If the problem is in your battery it would usually just give you trouble when starting up soon after shut down. If it doesn't turn over, leave it for a few hours and see if it works then. If it does, get a new battery. Sears Diehard gold is really good. Or get a deep cycle from exide, lightning, optima...but they will cost more. Only good if you are playing your stereo with the car off also.
