I'm using bittorrent to download torrents right now and it seems pretty slow.
What other programs would be faster?
I'm new to this torrent thing so help me out!

 

Usually the longer you let it sit there downloading, the faster it gets. I use bittornado and it works fine for me.

 

What is your upload settings?

I too use bittornado and it works great.

Speed will depend on how many seeds are up and how fast there connection is. I have some go 10kb/s for the entire download, and others hit 125kb/s.

 

i use a program called azureus and it works quite will for me. i used to use bittorrent as well, and it was awful.

To get the best speed look for the the highest seeder with the least leaches like 150 seeds/ 25 leachers u should get over 100K /sec

I am blocked by a modem firewall and I can't get around it. If I am lucky I get 50 kb/sec and I upload like 100 kb/sec. My share ratio when I am done is usually around 3-4

it sucks I need a new isp
