always split if you have the cash, always double down on 9, 10, 11, never hit above 15 unless you really feel lucky. always figure on the next card being a 10, since statistically you have the best chance of getting either a 10, jack, queen or king.

always, always, always double down on 11

What would you consider 'the cash'?

if the dealer has 6 or less don't hit unless you have less than 10, or special occaisions with aces. With a 6 the dealer has to take at least two cards thus a good chance he'll bust.

Careful what you're splitting, if you have a pair of 10's and the dealer has 10, don't split obviously, cause chances of you getting another couple of face cards aren't worth it. Always split 8's i think, cause sixteen is a ****ty hand and you have a better chance of getting 18 alone with each 8.

I generally don't hit on 16 or more, cause i'd rather let the dealer beat me then me kill myself. Anything less, i'm ok with hitting, cause remember the dealer go's until he gets 17, so 16 or 15 don't help you unless he busts.

Double down almost always on 11's unless dealer is showing face, then it's up to you. Doubledowns for me depend a lot on what the dealer is showing. Use your head.

- never split a winner.
- double down on anything that adds up to 10 or 11...unless dealer has 10 showing...then its your call.
- as said...if dealer has 6 or less showing chances are they'll bust (or at least chances are BETTER) so go for the gusto
- be patient and dont be greedy...chances are you'll do more harm than good if you get greedy.

If a dealer has 6 or less it's considered a "bust card". 6 being the best bust card a dealer can have.
If you have 12 or higher on a bust card, you don't hit.
If a dealer doesn't have a bust card, hit until you get 17.
Don't be a retard like some people who stay on a 15 or 16. That way you're going to lose anyhow, I'd rather lose by busting then stay and lose on a stupid hand like 16.
Always split 8's, even on a bust card.
NEVER split 10's that's another retard move.
If you have 10 or 11 and the dealer has a bust card, double down.
Any the best advice of all, is try and stay away from the $5 tables if you can afford it.
Those tables have the worst players, who do stupid things like above.
In one night I had retards split 10's, hit on a 13 while dealer is on bust, stay on stupid cards like 13-16 when dealer isn't busting.
Oh man thats a fast way to lose money. The game is VERY simple, just follow those rules and you'll be fine...but it's funny how bad people are. If you see a group of young people all playing blackjack (like a group of friends), watch before you sit down. More times than not they have no clue how to play the game, and if you sit down, you'll lose all your money.

How do really bad players at the table cause you to lose money? their play wouldnt matter on your outcome would it since you are only playing against the dealer?

The only way it would matter I would think is they're dumb enough to just hit and if they're sitting to your right then they'll take the card you probably wanted dealt to you by being stupid.

Thanks everyone for the tips and the link I will definately check it out. First time I played blackjack i didn't like it but i was a very gutsy 'stupid' player, I'd have the urge to hit on a 16 lol But I also forget at that hand that i was playin AGAINST the dealer lol. I dunno I was out of it because I had just won my money back at Roulette after losing it. Right now I hate roulette lol took all my money so did the slot machines lol So now I'm looking to go back and redeem myself if at all possible at blackjack.

One thing I was told is you have to start playing with $100 and nothing less so you can ride out the bad hands. Johnny sadly I'd hit up the $5 table lol I've seen quite a few old people at the $5 tables at the blue heron but half of them sucked too lol My best friends like to play blackjack so Im always watching and seeing the types of players at the tables.

Coulter you lose money when people do stupid ****.
If the anchor has 13 on a bust card, hits and pulls a 10...well then say the dealer has a 5 showing, has a 10 behind = 15. Well because the guy hit the dealer doesn't that 10, and pulls a 4.
Instead of the WHOLE table winning, the whole table will lose, you get what I mean?
You'd be suprised how much this happens when people play stupid.
