Car Audio Setup
Someone tell me if this might actually be a good idea? Im lookin for ideas of where to mount my amp(s) for when I goto install my new gear if I decide to keep with my 1987 Z24.
(seats dont fold down)

This is whats goin on in mine below at the moment

Any suggestions?

It's alot easier to mount them to the side of your trunk. You could make a nice rack that side trunk mounted in no time. I'd be worried about adding that extra weight to the trunk lid, maybe for no reason.
My parents 86 Grand Am (which I just spent an your trying to yank my 4 gauge power and ground wire out of....holy cut up arms...) had pretty much the same dimensions are the Z24 trunk more or less and I could mount my 2 amps on each side of the trunk with little difficulty.

Man that's bad you should never mount amp's inverted like that, heat rises and I suspect he doesnt drive around with his trunk open. Those amps wont last long in that posistion
Just my 2 cents

You should lose the spare tire and make a nice fibre glass box/amp rack.
