(seats dont fold down)

It's alot easier to mount them to the side of your trunk. You could make a nice rack that side trunk mounted in no time. I'd be worried about adding that extra weight to the trunk lid, maybe for no reason.

My parents 86 Grand Am (which I just spent an your trying to yank my 4 gauge power and ground wire out of....holy cut up arms...) had pretty much the same dimensions are the Z24 trunk more or less and I could mount my 2 amps on each side of the trunk with little difficulty.

Yah and then u run into the possibility of another 50 year old dink in a mercury wagon hitting me there again lol

That is a good idea I might consider it in the long run

lol yah he took all that apart it doesnt look like that anymore but I wondered if that itself was a good idea I'd only be mounting one or two amps up there.

You have a decent sized trunk. A box for your typr Rs will not take up an entire trunk area.

You should lose the spare tire and make a nice fibre glass box/amp rack.

Man that's bad you should never mount amp's inverted like that, heat rises and I suspect he doesnt drive around with his trunk open. Those amps wont last long in that posistion

Just my 2 cents

yup upside down and heat don't mix. The weight is an issue ( see the stick ) And for crashing wouldn't the trunk lid be kinda the same as sloming your trunk or bouncing around when you drive?
