Cell Phone plans and companies in Ontario (cambridge area)
Hey Folks
One of my friends out east, not overly computer/telephone/electronics in general up to date, is in need of a new cell phone. Her contract ends in Dec.
She hasn't really had any problems with Rogers (her current subscriber), but very much has the wrong plan, or at least her $40 plan cost her $150 last month heh.
Anyways, is there a choice provider or amazing plan out East? She doesn't overly care what type of phone she gets, although she does do a whole whack of text messaging and spends a lot of frickin time on her phone, so she needs something decent. She would also like to have some decent MP3 playing capabilities.
As far as locked/unlocked, she has no idea what that means and probably keeping things simpler in that respect is fine. I think she could be very happy with a rogers phone, assuming she doesn't know her other choices lol.
So...whats the choice provider? or is it completely preference? Coverage any better from one to another? Can you all provide any hints one way or another??
What i'd like to eventually set her up with is something that provides:
- unlimited text or a whole whack, she probably does 1500-2k each way.
- call display, caller id and voice mail.
- Guessing around 300-350ish minutes/month
Long distance isn't overly important as we generally use www.YAK.ca
