hey folks, just picked up a new phone, LG8100 and some family plan so we can drop our landline.

Now i picked up a minisd card (512mb) and a lil usb key like adapter so i can connect it to my PC thru USB.


Question is, can i add stuff from the PC to the mini SD card, aka mp3's??? and then put card in my phone and be able to listen to the mp3's???

or, does it only go from phone to pc for some reason? does the mini sd card need to be formatted or anthing weird liek that???

Yep, one would assume that's what ya do. Get the card "working" with your phone first, maybe it will format it for you. Then pull it outta there and connect to your PC, dump a few songs on it, put it back in your phone and give it a whirl...

I'd bug ya to read the owner's manual, but I do't think it says, as I've read the online owner's manual just the other day, as I've been wanting that phone too... Lemme know how you end up liking it, and if ya had to do anything special to get the card working...

hmmm so yeah i figured that out before you even said it doh.

Put it in, and it formats and makes folders needed.

Sound, Music, Video and Picture.


I've got the picture part working and i've got some broad half eagle on the inside plus a monkey on the outside which is hot. I've copied some mp3's over and hte mp3 player works, but i'm wishing i could somehow set my music as ring tones or similar.

I'm also unsure of what the difference between sound and music is. Have yet to figure it out, but so far the phone is interesting.
