My sister installed an old CD burning software and ignored the error message about it causing the computer to become unstable.

Now I get this Message all the time
"Issue Description:

A CD-recording driver is installed that might cause stability problems, including problems shutting down and problems using a CD/DVD drive. This driver will be disabled.
This driver might have been installed by Easy CD Creator, Windows Media Player or RealJukebox. You might not be able to record CDs until you obtain compatible drivers.

Roxio, Inc. provides an update for Easy CD Creator users at the Easy CD Creator Updates Web site.

For Windows Media Player users, see the Microsoft Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...sxp/roxio.asp.

For RealJukebox users, see the RealNetworks Web site at http://switchboard.real.com/rj2/?cd=xpfix."

The problem came from easy CD creator and there only update I can find is to buy a newer version. I can not figure out how to delete the driver from the list of drivers, I have tryed to update driver no go, and I uninstalled all CD software and removed and reinstalled the CD burner but the damn driver came back.

HELP

Just do a system restore on Xp provided u didn't disable it, it will be removed from you registry and good as new... then just look for the main folders under program files....and delete and ur all set

First thing I would do is rip that "old" CDRW program out of the system. Uninstall it. You didn't want it there on the first place. Don't let others try to use incompatible software on XP.

easy CD creator is a software program and should't affect your drivers
i would do a search for the easy CD creator and delete it
did you go into control panel, system, hardware, device manager then click your cd rom
then try rollback driver
of remove driver and try reinstalling a new one

^It can hurt the drivers if it's incompatible. Oddly enough, I've only seen this with CDRW drives.

Well I have the attention of the computer brains I am going to upgrade to Win XP corp from win XP home since there is no way to upgrade directly if I install winxp corp on the computer how would I delete Win XP home after coping all the files I need?
Also would there be any draw backs to using win Xp corp at home? Does win XP corp have the PPPOE option for connecting to the internet?
Thanks a bunch guys
