Do a backup first, then format and re-install.

Where do I find the files to back up the outlook profiles and emails contained in them?
And yes I know it is obvious why I am switching to corporite (only nine days left till I need to activate home) but it is my only option.
But you seen no problems for me using it?

by going to control panel, system, hardware, device manager

is did you try unistalling them first
or at the device window removing the device by right clicking then reistalling them

To get your emails, do a search for *.dbx

It'll list all the .dbx files, inbox.dbx is your email inbox. Save that.

I'm not sure about your profiles, there should be an option to Import/Export, in which you could export your profile to another location, like floppy.

when you open device manager you should see a vertical list with all the hardware devices listed by class with icons to the left of each one
one should be listed as dvd/cd drives double click that
then you should see a discription of your cd rom with a cd icon to the left
if you right click on your cd rom you should get a choice of uninstall
should do it for every device there
