I really don't want anyone to think I am a dick for anything I have said because I am not. It just bother's me how people are so uninformed or miss informed. So many people have been passing speculation and nonsense in this form. I am a firm believer in not trying to explain or give advice I am not qualified to. I have been doing this for a long time. I really know what I am talking about. When I hear people shooting my stuff down it bothers me. It's like a cashier telling a pilot how to do his job.
Please just try to stick to what you know.

Weight gain can happen faster when carns are used with protiens. Your right that different carbs are digested at different rates.

Carbs are turned to glucose in the body and the body turns the glucose to energy in the red blood cells. A body needs insulin to let the glucose into the red blood cells to be turned into energy.

Not enough insulin or a huge intake of glucose will allow the glucose to spill over into the kidneys resulting in a lot of potty breaks.

I know in my first post on this, I didnt quite get it right. Mind you what I learned is about 30 years ago when I was diagnosed diabetic.

The diet scene has changed quite alot since then.

Kinda ind this protien thing a bit of a joke.

Mass amounts of protein can be dangerous to certain people.

If your kidneys leak protein through them, your are in the midst of big kidney trobules possibly shut down.

Then dialysis is next in order. I forget what all people are supposed to avoid high protien diets, but Diabetics are certainly one of them.

Well you know what I mean though, it obviousy doesn't happen over night but it happens a hell of a lot faster than a protien diet.

NOt saying the Mc Donalds is good for you, but it'd be a lot less bad for you if people would excersise. [/QUOTE]

That's very true. It's all about moderation. The problem is so many people just don't care and they can eat fast food 3-4 times a week and then never even think about exercise. It's a terribly unhealthy life style. It's not like they are getting fat over night either. Obesity in most cases takes years of abuse to your body. Unfortunately now there are groups telling people to be happy with who they are. Thats very dangerous advice. Obesity is more dangerous than smoking or drinking. It costs Health Canada more money than any other medical condition. Type2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke are only a few of the problems caused by obesity. It's too bad that more people didn't know these facts. It's too bad more people didn't know that they are slowly killing themselves as they get fatter.
