Is your drive a DVD-R, or DVD-RW, or what have you?

If you're trying to burn with a simple DVD-ROM drive, sorry, it'll be a no go.
ROM stands for Read Only Memory.

If you want to burn dvd's get a program call DVD Express Copy, they have various types normal, gold, platnium I have the platnium very nice program and very minimal quality loss... it converts a typical DVD 9 disk to fit the dvd 4 or 5 not sure what the 4.7g disk are considered I have used it now for about 12 movies not one problem, oh yeah as for burning dvd data like backups games whatever just use Nero works pretty good, I have Nero 6 Ultra you can download the demo from the site which is full version demo, and then u would just need to add a serial to make it the full version...

DVd Xpress copy does it all, some programs you need to use dvd decrypter first then use clone dvd to make the copy, with Xcopy pop in the disk open the prog answer NO to the question" is this a rented or borrowed disk" and your all set it detects burnable media in the drive and away ya go..take me about 15 min to convert it to dvd 5, then about 20-25 to burn it to dvd.... not to bad at all, I am looking to sell my burner to get the new Hp 400i from Hp 8X dvd burner would be looking around 15 min burn time apposed to 25 min...

The RW disc is a good idea till u master it, and don't use your computer at all while burning a dvd cuz it messes up what ur burning. Got tonz of coasters at home from that experience. S'all good to make some decorations with the coasters tho lol So I hear using the Nero DVD softwear workz too But I rather use the programs I know for a fact work.

Careful with ur money if ur copying dvd's for a collection or w/e becuz I found out the other night that the burned onez don't work in some cheap model DVD players or PS2's. PS2's won't read it (unless therez a special way I didn't try) and the cheap DVD players read the data on the disc it comez up as the file extensions it wont play (still workin on that tho there might be a way to get it to work).
