I downloaded this Dolby Digital Demo Disk and it had 3 songs that where in 5.1 the songs sucked but sounded pretty damn nice...Where can I find cd or dvd's that have music with 5.1 say with Orchestra style music? Hearing different instruments from all over and sounding as distinct as they do I found is a good relaxer...

Get into SACD's that use the DSD format if you want to really hear what good recordings sound like.

Yeah, you can get DVD-A DTS disks or DTS Cd's as well... i was reading up on how a DTS isn't a normal form of CD it tricks the players into thinking it's red book I guess they call it in order to play the 5.1 tracks or something?

 

Try the Blueman Group (The Complex) DVD-Audio. It's pretty awesome.
Crystal Method (Legion of Boom) is also great.

 

^^^Yeah i saw them both.. I don't think FS has the DVD AUdio one.. and if I do get this should normal dvd players play them or do you need a dvd player that does dvd-A?

 

dvd player doesn't matter. Just have to have an amplifier with dolby digital or dts.

SACD and HDCD require a specific dvd player though.
