A Stage 2 supercharged VR will give you approx. 280HP. Run that with LSD and you'd smoke that POS...

Anything over 300HP in a dub is a waste... even with the LSD. You have to go AWD by swaping in the synchro drivetrains... Talk to the boys at HPA Motorsports...

With the extra weight in the front, that Golf will plow into the corners...

And yes, handling does count. You can drive as long as you want in a straight line but your gonna have to turn eventually...

Is it really worth the money to do that when cars like my 2004 Maxima have 265HP and an LSD as stock items? The new Acura TL gets 280HP I believe. These new cars will have warranty and a heck of a lot fewer questions asked when they go into the shop for repairs.

I'm my mind its better to buy a car with a honkin big engine to start with and put a few simple bolt-ons in there, than to totally mod an old car up and arrive at the same HP figures as the new cars that are being built.

yes it is good to start off with somwthing newer and better BUT... newer and better is gonna cost a lot more...

i dont know what that vw cost to build but i would say its a whole lot less than your car...

i am building a mustang budget is about 3-4g`s including the cost of the car... (it has a big block in it [460 cid])....so lets say i put about 5 grand more in to the car over some time, to get it to handle, so for about 10 g`s i`ll have a car that has a ton of power and can handle... you can buy any thing new for that coin and have the handleing/power....
