Last week I ordered an Xbox game off ebay, I emailed the seller with all my info and they emailed me back telling me what I owe them. So I pay them the same day, it now been a week and no product. So I emailed the company and they tell me that I owe them an extra $2.00 taxes and wont ship my product until I give it to them, so I told them to forget it and asked for my money back!

has anyone else had any problems with ebay?
any advice on what to do if they dont refund the money?

i know $2.00 isnt much but when I dont owe it and they are trying to squeeze that last coin outta you, if they did that to everyone they'd make a pretty good profit.

If what they are asking for is valid (taxes) then make sure you get a printed receipt. If you have problems with Ebay "power-sellers" then make sure you let the Ebay staff know. There is also such a thing as feedback. I have had some very good experiences with Ebay (knock on wood) and have nothing to complain about.

I can't say I have had any problems with purchasing Xbox games off eBay. Sometimes they aren't in as nice of condition as I would like since I keep my games mint but you have to accept that. As for the taxes thing, if the auction states that you are required to pay taxes, then it is fair. If it does not, then there is no reason as they did not provide full disclosure in their auction so if they don't write it, you don't have to assume it.

I've had lots of positive experiences on ebay, and a couple of negative experiences. You shouldn't have to pay that $2.00 but I just would have paid it and amd hopefully they ship, then you don't have to worry about getting any money back.
