Yes before the Slim Shady LP he had a raw debut album, Infinite.
It's a lot different, and wasn't too well received. People said he sounded too much like Naz...etc.

Anyhow, after that came the Slim Shady EP, which was pretty much released underground (around 97-98ish).
It had songs like I just don't give a ****, and just the two of us...etc on it.
It was pretty much an underground hit. Dre and aftermath got hold of the record, and then signed Slim to a record deal.They then made a few more songs and released the Slim Shady LP in 99.
So there ya go. Actually even before that he was with a couple of groupa, Soul Intent, New Jacks, before he went solo, although I'm not sure if he released albums with them.
But yeah the Slim Shady LP was good, apparently they made My name is in about an hour, lol. It was made purely to be a radio song. (Just like a bunch of his others, the real slim shady, without me, just lose it...)
