Finally got around to doing it....
i don't know if anyone remembers back around xmas time (and i'm too lazy to find the topic in the archives) when i asked anyone if they had ever set up a simulated car audio system in thier house or garage to test out equipment, speakers, boxes, decks, etc...
i knew that the spl wouldn't be the same as in the car, and the peak notes would change and blah, blah, blah. well, a few of you asked why i would do such a thing...i don't really know why. just for fun and to test i guess.
well, the other day i though about it again, and i had all the parts i needed. i just bought a new batt charger, so i though i'd just go ahead and try it. it took a little while to get the whole system set up, but i finally got one working (after forgetting to hook up a ground! ) i couldn't believe how loud it was in my house. the 6x9's were as loud as my home stereo, and the sub literally shook the house from the basement up!
kinda glad i tried it, plus i gave me a little practice in setting and installing...i'm proud of myself, and now i have a simulated system in my basement to test with!

to settle the argument - they are 5x7's. panasonic ones, i won them in a show last year bu didn't really have any use for them... i tried to trade them to ppl who might have a use for em but didn't go through, couldn't sell em - too cheap...but finally, they are being used!
i love the cardboard boxes!!! they fit perfectly, i filled it with a little poly. fiber, sealed em up, and reinforced with a little spl tape.
BLIND - that cloth bag in the background - they were gifts from a gas station one xmas years ago. when you filled up with a tank you got a free bag...someone gave us an entire case and still have some!
...but i'm going to hook up some more amps and speakers this weekend!
