Well, guess I must be a young punk drug dealer then.

Mine was marked by the SPCA as a boxer and thats what i thought I had, untill told different by a pitbull breeder.

You said any dog I agree, any dog can attack and inflict serious injuries , thats why I say punish the deed, not the breed.

I guess these dogs choose to fight and kill the minute they are born. It cant be a skill "taught" to them by a human I guess.

Anyone hear about the pit bull that attacked a child in cambridge this week? kid was delivering papers when the dog attacked, for no reason, no provocation. as soon as the kid opened the door to drop the newspaper in, the dog came out and attacked him. This was a "gentle loving family pet" until it almost killed a child.

Pit bulls have been bred for hundreds of years to fight, and to be aggressive. Is every pit bull a menace to humans or other animals? no, I would never say that, but are they completely harmless and devoid of any flaws? absolutely not.

Are the owners to blame for the attacks committed by their dogs? it depends on how the owner treated, trained and cared for the animal. If the dog was trained to attack, then yes the owner is responsiblem but if the dog was a family pet who was obedience trained and house trained who snapped and tore some poor child's face to shreds, then no, I won't hold the owner responible, Breeding does have something to do with the animal's behavior, even if people don't want to believe that.
