If not... do you still have the Zip files you downloaded?
If you have neither, then you're screwed. You'll just have to download it again.
Otherwise it's as easy as copying all the stuff you want to keep (ie music, pictures, gay ****) in to a folder and then burning that to a CD/DVD.
when you reformat, just put the stuff back to where you found it
I never have any problems EVER with ie. Just don't go to sites for downloading games, music, **** etc... those are the sites that end up giving you problems. Anyway, you could try a system restore? Send it back a day or two...
I also usually wipe my system once every six months just to be fresh. I have an 100GB external HD and everything just get's copied and pasted over to that and then sent right back after the wipe. Takes all of ten minutes.

Download a pop-up blocker and run Ad-Aware,download them from www.download.com if you still dont see any changes then doing a reformat might be the best way to go. When you run ad-aware and if it finds any files make sure you delete them all....oh and at the least get Netscape over IE.
Hey chunk, you never did mention which OS you're using....this set of instructions is for Win 9x/XP machines....
Shamelessly cut and pasted from alt.comp.virus....
Download MULTI_AV.EXE from the URL --
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/Multi_AV.exe
To use this utility, perform the following...
Execute; Multi_AV.exe { Note: You must use the default folder C:\AV-CLS }
Choose; Unzip
Choose; Close
Execute; C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT
{ or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS }
NOTE: You may have to disable your software FireWall or allow WGET.EXE to go through your
FireWall to allow it to download the needed AV vendor related files.
C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT -- { or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS}
This will bring up the initial menu of choices and should be executed in Normal Mode.
This way all the components can be downloaded from each AV vendor's web site.
The choices are; Sophos, Trend, McAfee, Kaspersky, Exit this menu and Reboot the PC.
You can choose to go to each menu item and just download the needed files or you can
download the files and perform a scan in Normal Mode. Once you have downloaded the files
needed for each scanner you want to use, you should reboot the PC into Safe Mode [F8 key
during boot] and re-run the menu again and choose which scanner you want to run in Safe
Mode. It is suggested to run the scanners in both Safe Mode and Normal Mode.
When the menu is displayed hitting 'H' or 'h' will bring up a more comprehensive PDF help
file. http://www.ik-cs.com/multi-av.htm
Best of luck......

if you don't have cd's or whaever, buy a second harddrive, whether external or not. You can get external hdd cages fairly cheap. Do that and a HDD, copy your over to the other hdd, then format and reinstall.
And learn to do stuff correctly when you download illegal software from bad websites.
