Hey Everyone...
While I was in Winnipeg,I took a stop by Blondies,a burger joint on North Main St. just before Kildonan Park on the east side of Main.

Blondies is the home of the 9 LB Hamburger!!

That's right!!NINE POUNDS OF BEEF!!EXTRA LEAN BEEF!!

The place is run soley by Sandy(aka Blondie).She cooks,cleans,serves,etc etc etc all by herself!!Its quite impressive!

You can get burgers ranging in size from 1/8 lb(snicker..yeah right..just order one...I think it's a bit more than that)all the way up to a 9 lb burger(the size of a dinner plate and 3-three lb patties tall).But bare in mind,if you want to get a 9 lb'er,you must go in and pre-pay for it($45).

Blondies is slowing running out of bussiness.I think personally it has something to do with that stupid mad cow deal a while back.

Blondies has been in bussiness for 13 yrs serving the people of Winnipeg.She has been the focus of numerous newpaper actricles,which you can sit and read amongst the pics of people who have come to visit.

It's no Burger King or Mc'D's.Your first impression of the place will be"uhhh...yeah...right..."..but trust me...the place will become one of your all time favorites!!

So if you live in Winnipeg or are planning to make a stop there,try to make some time to make a trip to Blondies!!You will thank me for it later.

Yeah I got sentenced to a week in Hell a couple of years back for a business trip. Later I quit that job cuz I heard I may have to back twice a year

the 10 months I lived down there my ****ty car was stolen twice (I mean who the hell steals a clapped out 81 malibu with a V6) and broken into more times than I can count.........after a while I just learned to leave the doors unlocked and left NOTHING in the car .........

only city I've been in where I needed to go through a metal detector to get into the bar (vancouver & calgary had none of this)......

only time I go down there is when they make me go for work [img]smile.gif[/img] ............

only real cool thing winnipeg has going for it right now is the sunday night cruises .......

give me vancouver anyday [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/beer.gif[/img]

Ya, ok, i'll give you that much Derek. Since my Tempo was broken into, and the stereo stolen, and my Jimmy was stolen and written off last month. But, id take wpg over Gillam any day [img]tongue.gif[/img]
