High School Car Audio Club
The first thing I thought of was whether my car would be safe. I've already been asked what I have in my car and I'll told them the truth... Nothing. It's been like that since January (but it won't be in July - That could be a problem next September.). Now I figure that the only way to eliminate any doubt is to show them... I'm sure the word would get around. I'll already given them the "Been there, done that and I'm too old to do that stuff still" speech.
In terms of parking, the car is pretty safe from theft.
I already got a list names of people that are interested so it does look good... All I need is administrative approval.
Dave... I might have to take you up on that offer. Maybe not this year but definitely in the future.

I'd love to help.. Just fire me an e-mail and I am there...
If you really want to take it far, talk to the auto shop, electrical shop and physics teacher and we'll do a 'unit' on car audio for them.
I was actually thinking about this two weeks ago.

I have done a mini stereo comp at both of our local high schools for the last 6 years now. It is amazing at the level (or lack therof) that some of these kids put into their vehicles. It can teach them about automotive skills like body repair and fibreglass, it teaches them about electronics, it teaches them about physics, it teaches them about woodwork. It can easily be rolled up into a term project with relative ease. I am sure that you would have no shortage of people who want to do this as well.
When we did this for the schools it was done as a shoot from the hip kind of event, staged at their lunch hour. We split into teams to judge best and worst install, best sq, worst sq, loudest vehicle, crappiest sub box, radio toss etc. Prizes we handed out for these categories as well, all people who entered got a t-shirt and subway coupons. Entrance fee was a donation to the foodbank and the Alaskan Malamute Help League (AMHL) www.malamuterescue.com . For the worst firetrap install we would redo their entire install at no charge, for the worst sub box (functional) we would build them a new box. I think that you definitely should do this.
