OK they've got one of the biggest sound company's int he world setting this thing up. 24 rather large speakers being powered by 25,000 watts all playing i believe at 5hz. This is supposedly gonna cause a person to lose control of their bowels.
(i may have gotten some of the particulars correct)
and...verdict is:..... commercial break...what the hay!!!!
ok we're back from commercial, it's definitely a 5hz tone, 24 speakers, 25000 watts. Speakers are moving like crazy....don't hear a lotta sound obviously.....it's doing this all at 108db so they say. I should mention they got these speakers packed in a 3/4 circle around the guy in the middle of an open field or on a plane tarmac or something.
None the less, it didn't disrupt his voels.
Now they're tryn 7hz at 114db. Still no action.
Lastly they did 9hz at who knows what volume, and the guy was not having any sorta crazy bowel movements. Apparenlty it's all a scam!!!
Wait there's more...32hz at 128db...apparenlty some solid vibration and his voice sounds like he's talking into a fan.
arg there's still more....now they're doing 154db at i dunno what frequency. oh they're sweetping between 20 and 100hz.

I caught that episode (I'm an admitted Mythbusters fan). Interesting. I think it would have been more effective if the setup had been indoor/more enclosed. Imagine running your subs OUTSIDE the car in a wide open parking lot, as compared to, say, inside your garage (doors closed, windows up, properly deadened/etc). But, has anyone been near a tank gun when it's fired? I have; it'll loosen something (brain stem!). Good times....

I was in Garth Green's Blazer when he was burping it. His truck was ini the 160's on the old mike when I listened. I am sure he wasn't going all out, but basically it makes your vision a bit blurry, and makes you feel a little queasy, but that's about it.

wow, Dereck still has hearing after sitting in a 160 something DB vehicle? wow, I can't even imagine how loud that is. damn. I heard that brown note is real. But its not 5hz. its like 12 or something, but its all just a rumor. jeez, 5hz. I can't believe any normal speaker is even capable of that. Thats nuts

I thinki the reason they did in an open area is cause when the government or army or whoever was try'n to profect it they woulda been try'n to use it in an open area. Least they's my thoughts.

I think you're supposed to actually use the brown noise. Not some solid 7Hz freq. I did hella research on this shiza a long time ago actually got my hands on the noise. It's like a lower version of the white nosie. Almost sounded like a river or something.
