Question

Hey folks, i've got a few cd's or songs that when put on disc they're a fair amount quieter than others. It's a bit of a pain when some songs play quieter so you gotta turn em up then the next song is super loud and it scares the **** outta ya. Being that i only ever make mp3 disc's i've never seen the option to normalize the volume.

Are there any programs out there that can either normalize the volume of a buncha songs, or possibly raise the volume of songs without making them sound really crappy?

yes, and it is called Normalizing... there are shareware, and possibly freeware mp3 rippers out there with that exact feature...

Some buring applications will also perform this function. I know Nero has a Normalization option for burning audio discs. It can often be found in the same section as selection Track-at-once or Disc-at-once.

OK, I probably gave a bad explanation of what i wanted. I'm aware burning programs can normalize songs as i originally mentioned. But they don't give those options when burning mp3 discs, hense me lookin for an option that'll allow me to do that.

I'm gonna look into CDEx and what it can do, but i'm looking for soemthing that can take MP3's and normalize them. It has to do this preferably with mp3's and keep them as mp3's.
