k so im on this other board, goin thru their car audio threads and i read this
first guy:
------------------------------------------
003 CES Innovations Award Winner !!
15? Extreme Competition Subwoofer
5,000 Rms
10,000W Max
3? Aluminum Voice Coil Structure
Frequency Response: 30 Hz - 500 Hz
This is the kore series from MA Audio. isnt that a little overkill?
I'm thinking of starting some competition, i want something good. i stumbled across this though and wow looks like it could kill you what are you peoples opinions on this speaker?
-----------------------------------------------
so im thinkin yea ok par for the course no worries, then i get to this reply.....
-----------------------------------------------
The frequency is barely within audible range. Most people cannot hear lower than 500 hz. All that speaker will do is move air and break things. That's just MHO.
I've always liked Lanzer subs. They have the least amount of distortion that I've ever heard in a subwoofer. (10" is plenty)
-----------------------------------------------

i still cant get over it...... we cant hear below 500hz apparently......
*sigh.........*
