I'm getting a new car next weekend, and my insurance will be payed monthly... Does anyone know if the first payment is due on the first day, or is it billed a month after?

Insurance is paid one month in advance as an industry standard. if you cancel, the insurance company has some time to advise those entities that may be financing your asset and give them some time to make you get other insurance or repo the goods...
