An idea to help the scene in rural areas.

Seeing as I live in a small town, over an hr away from any shops or things like that, and seeing as our only electronics store (radio shack) is closing. I thought of starting a used audio B/S/T out of the garage.
I think it would increase the car audio scene here, and possibly get more involved in things like db drag and sq.
I have a few pieces to start with, but I also noticed that others have tons of older gear that they are just trying to get rid of. A lot of the kids in my town don't have adequate funds to go out and buy brand new stuff, so I thought this would be a way to get some decent used stuff in their vehicles.
So if anyone has anything they want to dump, let me know. We might be able to help out the scene in rural areas.

Also in my lil salvation army of used audio gear, they could use any old wiring, of different gauges, terminals and things like that. Doesn't need to be pretty, just working. Cause why scrap it if some kid can use it.

Sounds good, ya never know what people have laying around. And IMO it would be better served in some kids ride, than on someones floor.
This is what I have as a start from my own collection:
2-12" Jensens
2-10" Pioneer IMPP
2-5.25 Soundstream Pro B-52's
1-Pioneer GM-X862 amp
1-Earthquake 200dhc digital
1-Eclipse 5303 HU
15 feet of 4 gauge. Red
25 feet of 0 gauge. Blue (B/N)
Not all of it is in perfect condition, but it is a start.

It seems sad to me, that those involved in the scene are not as readily to help with the idea, as those in a 4x4 site I posted in. I have had 3 replies in it, in 1 day, compared to the 1 here.
As one individual put it:
"well, where do i begin. Well i am very big into car stereo sound and compotitions, and when i started out, i did not have very much money, and now i am sittin 3rd in my class, using a trunked car, that the sport is dominated with hatch backs. I sure wish i had someone like you when i started out."
It is amazing that others in the sport are not as willing to help those less fortunate than themselves. It is either that or we have all become too caught up in our own dealings, that we are not concerned about the future of the sport.
I am glad that some people out there remember their roots in the audio world, even if it was only buying their first set of speakers.
