</font>[/QUOTE]So? I had my 86 Civic for 4 years, had a stereo in it for the last two, worked all over the lower mainland, and never had a single problem with break-in or theft. Having said that, a $199 alarm is a good investment in ANY car..

Trucks tend to be reliable these days though. Like a Jimmy etc.

Go for a Civic
buy a civic.please push the big 3 out of business and push us into a resesion.
personaly my 97 cavy has been great to me. 225,000 km and only had 1 engine problem ( water pump)
and my friends 98 civic si has ate 2 tranny's in 3 months. and the rear left spring is saging like mad. and it only had 114,000 km on it.
plus a civic isnt that cheap my friend payed over 10 k for his 98 civic si last year . my 97 cavy cost me 7 k 4 years ago.
when yoru looking for cheap and reliable. you are realy limited though
cavalier, sunfire, neon , civic.
it come sdown to geting a car that was well maintained and keepign it that way . i change my plugs and wires every 2 years, and do all my oil changes on time. the car is only as good as its owner.
if youve got the cash maybe look at an echo as they are very reliable adng reat on gas but there arnt that many used ones around to buy.

redzone I don't see how if the big three go out of business we going to cause a resesion because last time I checked the big three isn't the only ones with plants in Canada. redzone if you haven’t read yet I own an rx 7....I have no money. (I just priced my engine swap and ouch but worth it).
