When I was 18 (in 1993) I bought my first car (a 1988 Ford Tempo) for $2500. Insurance cost me over $1000 a year.
I am now 27 and own a Grand Cherokee and they ding me for almost $3000 per year (I have a spotless record), plus I have to shell out $15 a month for a Boomerang GPS tracking device. Also, gas runs me arount $150 PER WEEK! It is ridiculous! I can't wait to get rid of my truck and purchase something much more reasonable.
Expensive cars AREN'T worth it unless you have a really rich daddy or have tons of cash just burning a hole in your pocket.

My father had a 73 Mach-1...that was the last REAL mustang untill the fox body's. And since were talking about trucks an SUV's your point is mute.
