if you dyno a stock Honda Civic they will put a fan up front too.. its for the radiator. Since the car isnt actually moving their isnt enough air movement for the radiator to work properly so the car would over heat.

What is getting popular is to use nitrous and purge on the intercooler to get it nice and cold.

anyoen got any idea what the stock turbocharger on the GN V6's go for??

like to take a stock buick 3.8 V6 and add the GN's stock turbo onto it

just curious, found a few of those engines kickin around

 

IMO you'd be much better off to spend the money up front and do a proper build. The ONLY way I would put a stock GN system in is if you had a complete motor and computer system available.

There's a nice one here in Oshawa also that comes out to the local meeting place. Owner claims more than $30,000 in upgrades to the car. Besides Rims/E.T. streets and some suspension visible through the wells it looks stock. It sounds insane when he gets on it and it goes. It ate my 12s Trans Am without much trouble. Nice to see an old school domestic taking trophies and honours.

 

A NA 3.8 has totally different internals than this beast. I love GN's.

GN's are awesome but only come in auto... booo.

as for the "take that import tuners" there is a video of a VW golf converted to audi awd, with a 2.7 TT in it that broke all four wheels loose on a dyno with more hp than that GN.

but still, that GN is the ****, those turbo's stickign out of the hood...... nuts...


imagine a pair of atmospheric blow-off valves on that thing....
