The 2004 GTO is a toned down Holden.

What it lacks in styling it more than makes up for with horsepower.............all aluminum 5.7 L LS1 V8 with 350 HP and 365 ft/lbs of torque.

Styling has never been a GM strength (Especially Pontiac with its obsession with ugly body kits). There trying to get away from that but with their latest offerings I don't see much of an improvement. The cars above are improvement (not feeling the SS though.)

The only thing that GM has been able to do is build 5.0L and 5.7L engines. They couldn't build a 4cyl or 6cyl engine if their life depended on it.

I don't have a problem with GM wanting to build high HP "muscle/sport" cars but honestly with people bitching about high insurance rates and gas prices it makes you wonder why isn't GM building high performing mid-size and sub-compact vehicles.

GM really has to stop thinking that putting V8 in and an SS badge on it changes things...

gm builds some of the best v6's out there. the 3.8 v6 has got to be one of the strongest motor's ever build. and the buick grand national didn't do too bad either. who needs 4 cylinders though? gm stoped making the 5.0L, and the new corvette gets a 6L ls6 renamed the ls2. they are starting to put out atleast 1 vehicle thats rwd on each platform now. the new gm ss concept is lookin pretty good, and there is rumors of a gto judge coming out in the near future aswell. i've still got my rwd toy, so i am happy.

I agree with camel

To each his/her own, but I love my GM's...

when my 4000pound 76 Impala sedan is still blowing acura's and VW's off of the line, and I havent done anything but keep the 350 in good shape, I have to say I am impressed..

I do likey my older MOPAR's too , though

Also, my newfie mechanic would disown me if I brought an import to his shop...lol

V8 Chevy all the way.....
