laser eye surgery - what can ya tell me?

So....my one contact has somehow gotten dirty twice in one day despite me having cleaned it. Kinda annoying.

Anywho, i'm sorta wondering about laser eye surgery now....i know it was crazy expensive years ago, and it'd usually mess with your night vision or something, but i'm hoping things have since gotten better.

My contacts are -3 or -2.5 or somewhere around there.

What kinda stories/experiences does everyone have from recent? Feelf ree to throw out pricing too. Any pain? Recovery time?

My mother was the first woman in canada to have the procedure done... and that was 20 or so years ago I think.

The only thing I can tell you is that recovery time is fairly quick, a day to a week, depending on your own situation.

It's also wise to research all risks associated, like exaggerated nighttime halos around lights and such.

im not sure but i think its 1000 per eye... but if it lasts thats really not bad when you consider the price of a good pair of glasses and having to get new ones every couple 3 years or so.

anywhere from $1000 + in moncton, NB. I think I saw a "Lasik MD" clinic that does it for $499+.

anyway, from the people I've talked to it's a 3 ish days of wearing sunglasses, more annoyance than pain, really. Head aches, dizziness...basically it's a 3 day hangover after a trip to mexico, if the job is done right.
