manually eject tray of dvd player???
#1
Hmm so, i put a disc in from my bro's collection to listen to while washing dishes. Apparenlty the disc i put in had coke or something spilled on it at one time, and i guess they didn' tbother to clean it ever??? None the less, i put the disc in, played fine, a couple hours later my bro came home and started going off the deep end. Turns out hte dvd player (panasonic DVD-RV31) will not eject the tray. It try's to, maybe gets 5-10mm out then gets stuck. I tried lightly helping the tray out but it's not coming.
I'm not sure exactly how these things work, does it suck the cd up a lil? If so, is there any like manual eject or something? I'm not sure exactly if there's pop spilled on the cd, how that'd cause it to stick in there?
Any help appreciated. Worse coems to worse it's a ****ty dvd player, maybe worth $60-$70, i'll buy him another one. Guess i should know better than to trust other peoples equipment and discs.

wait no worries...took the top off the dvd player...turns out hte disc was like glued to whatever picks it up....none the less nothing a screwdriver wedged in there can't fix....took a bit, probably wasn't the safest thing, but i got it out and it appears to work fine now. YAY.
