Hahah, not anymore

You hear what happened to Mustaine?

I don't care what anybody says, you can sit here for years and try to state who's copying who...but really...it comes down to this....EVRYTHING IN MUSIC IS A SPINOFF OF PEARL JAM AND NIRVANA...it's simple as that. Nirvana starts the whole grunge dealy, which starts up these morons walking around with leather jackets with big chrome studs and mohawks like some kind of 80's horror movie, listening to their "punk" music, which is spinoffs of the good bands that knew what punk used to be all about.

And then there's the Pearl Jam spinoffs...such as Default and Nickelback, and kyfe like that. I don't really think there's a way to create NEW MUSIC......your always going to sound like somebody else no matter what. You know why? Because there's only so many riffs a guitar player can play, and only so many variations of the way it can be played while still sounding good. Same with singers.....you can only have so many singers before the voices all sound the same...the reason for this is, anybody can be a singer...you can sing as bad as you want, off key and stupid words, and as long as you make a scene about it and get yourself noticed...people will buy your cd's. Act like a moron, wear really stupid clothes have a giant mohawk and lots of tatoos and I guarntee you'll make it big whether you can sing good or not....I mean hell look at half of the 80's metal bands.....they sounded like a baby being hit with a cat. Brian Johnson, James Hetfield, Bruce Dickinson...they all sounded like their ********* were in a vice and look at how big those bands are now.

dude, are you ****in kidding me? Punk is an offspring of nirvana?!?!? Dude, if you honestly believe that, you obviously dont know your own *** from a hole in the ground. MAYBE if you said a band like "sex pistols" or "the ramones" i would have agreed. But nirvana starting the punk genre? Man, punk was started when cobain was still feeding off his moms ****. If anything, nirvana wasnt even a punk band!

I did not say Punk came from Nirvana...maybe YOU should READ before you open your trap.

I know all about The Ramones and the Misfits man and anyone else you wanna throw in the mix, I was listening to them before this whole new "punk" era even started. I've been listening to music for years man, I've always listened to a ton of different genre's of music.

Think of what I said like this then, if you wanna get so picky......If you talked to any of the songwriters from the "new music" bands of today, you can bet that most of thier style was influenced by Nirvana or Pearl Jam in some way. I'm not saying that it's true for every band...well yea, I did....that wasn't right, ok....not EVERY band was influenced by them...but I mean, if a band didn't create it's own style like Metallica or another good example is Cradle Of Filth, then it was influenced by someone who has already done the same thing or something similar. OK? Is that clear enough for you? Shall I write in crayon on a peice of construction paper and mail it to you?

I'm just playin....you do bring up a good point.
Sex Pistols....there's a band I havent heard of in a long time.
