The need for bass?
it did a 150 flat but thats not the point. yes i did like it alot before, i used to drive around just to listen to it. but now i hate it, i find it very annoying and discommforting.
I still compete b/c i like challange and its fun. Do you think those olympic weight lifters walk around lifting 100000000000000 kilograms over their heads every day? They just train and compete, I do the same I test and i compete but I dont listen to it on daily basis.

Sounds like you OD'd on bass.Well as long as your having fun competing right, thats what its all aboot
I like bass too. But I'm more into really tight bass than boom. I like a good hit to the chest. It takes lots of power and fast drivers, I've got both!
What I'd like to hear about is some sicky with 4 15" subs in a daily driver.
The 8 10" subs posted a couple days ago was pretty good though.

For daily driving,I have my amp turned down so I can just get a nice tight bass note in with the music and a good thump when needed...
I love my bass, but I find even after a comp,I am feel like the wind has been knocked right out of me.Sometimes I dont even listen to the radio for like 2 or 3 days after a comp..just cant stand it...
I just wired 2 toggles in to my system..one for my front amp for comp's....and the other for my sub amp so I can turn it off when I dont want bass...seems to work pretty good for me..
