Don't use alkaline batteries in a digital camera. They like to suck a lot of power. Buy a set of NiMH rechargeables and a charger (not a quick charger) and thank me later

Alkaline's don't work well with that camera, I tried some PureEnergy rechargeable alk's and it wouldn't even turn on. XS Cargo has a Nimh battery kit for 16 bucks, comes with 4 nimh AA's and a charger, can't beat that price. Only downfall is that it is an overnight charger but they work well, i have that same camera and have snapped over 50 pics with the LiveView and QuickView on, still no low battery indicator.

Try with normal power A/C could be loose connection in the camera I know is see alot of issues with HP camera and batteries don't do squat but power ac works fine, and of course service it goes...
