New guy hooked on car audio sq
As the title says, I am new to this site but not new to car audio by any means. I, however, have only been getting seriously into this sq stuff for the past 2 years or so. I think I have seen the good and the bad so far. I have also discovered that this is indeed a very EXPENSIVE hobby. I have been hanging out at a number of sites like diymobileaudio.com (an awesome one btw), both kenwoodforums and pioneer forums (avic411.com). I, honestly, never really looked too far into this one for some odd reason. At a quick glance, this looks like a pretty nicely setup site actually.
Now as for me, as I said, I am firmly hooked into the old analogy 'This car can sound better'. I currently have a pretty sweet setup that I believe is mostly listed in my sig (if I set it up correctly that is). I am contemplating my next steps in the path to perfect sound (is there such thing).
I am currently running a simple 2 way front with sub going through a very nice processor. This is all powered by one mighty fine amp. I guess one could say this is an Electromedia vehicle at the moment. lol The things I have been tossing around in my mind all pretty much require me to get into the fabrication angle (ie. fiber glassing). I am excited even if it scares the crap out of me from what I have read. I am toying with two different avenues, one would be to go three way front with rear fill. The other is to go full on 5.1 if I can figure out some way of doing it without having to replace a huge chunk of my setup (not into changing out my Pioneer nav system really). My goal here is to get great sound for myself but also get as close as I can to that for the passenger. I guess that would be the proverbial two seat car. I am always open to any and all ideas or suggestions. I am also more than willing to help anyone out along the way with my fledgling, yet ever expanding knowledge in this fascinating hobby. Ok, I know this is too long but the site did say to introduce myself
