What a strong video...

 

I remember on the day it happened hearing a news broadcaster saying the smoke was too thick to make a roof rescue possible.

 

i figured they would atleast try. i would have anyways.

wow that was amazing.... It may have been to much of a risk to fly a helicopter that close for many reasons. IMO why wouldn't those people look for the stairs and start running down them or something? [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] 78 floors tho

 

That was the same video they showed as part of the documentary that two French brothers were filming with the NYFD. Nothing interesting happened for months, and then 9/11 happened. It is incredible to think as you are watching video of inside the tower before it falls that in a few moments, it will be destroyed. Something so majestic that stood there for 30 years and then just gone.

I think the most surreal part of that footage every time I see it is hearing the crashes in the background of people jumping to their death hundreds of feet above. That is sobering. And, when they show the NYFD chaplin of which he would become casualty #1. I bet he never figured he was gonna die in less than hour after that camera filmed him walking around. I still remember what I was doing when I first heard about the attack. Deep.
