nothing better to do so I test drove a bunch of new cars today

I test drove a bunch of cars today...my mom's fiance is looking for a car so I decided to tag along...all were 5-speed
First up was the Protege5.
Pros: Looks awesome, sticks to the corners pretty good.
Cons: What a cheap piece of ****. Hard plastic all over the interior, clutch is too light, steering is too heavy, it's GUTLESS, it's all too similar to a FOCUS. My '92 Protege has more ***** and better build quality than this thing...they sure don't make em like they used to.
Next up was a Kia Rio RX-V
Pros: Believe it or not, this car is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above the Protege5...has more power, the interior is much better and it's cheaper!
Cons: It looks like something that crawled out of the sea and it doesn't handle as good as the Protege5. Idles rough with the A/C on.
Next the 2004 Toyota Echo hatchback
Pros: it's bigger than it looks and it actually goes pretty good...the center gauge pod is actually better than you think it would be. Nice solid shift feel. Quite possibly the easiest car to park. It's cute.
Cons: It's cute. Gearing feels too tall, big time body roll in tight corners. Tranny noise, A/C sucks.
2004 Cavalier 2 door
Pros: it's got ***** man (for a 4 banger). Just because it's a Cavalier doesn't mean its a bad car...it's actually a pretty good cheap car.
Cons: It's a Cavalier. Typical GM manual tranny...long throws and mushy clutch.
So after all that new car browsing, we spotted a '94 Civic CX at a used car dealer...and he's going to buy that car.
I had nothing better to do so I posted this...yeah I have no life.. I think I'm done now

id say go with the rio:-D i love mine, surprises me almost daily, its been off roading in the rockies climbed 2 mountains, goes like stink for the 96hp engine, has nooooo problems gettin to and cruisin fast enuff to get me from canmore back into calgary in about 40 minutes (bought 100km ish) they actually handle alot better once u replace the POS factory tires with ANYTHING, lol
worst thing about the rio is its almost impossible to find anything for em if u wanna do any custom stuff, or if u wanna rice it up a little.
best thing about it is when u surprise the hell outta someone when the light turns green. sure u will get more power from a cavi or a sunfire, but everyone and their dog has em.
either way good to see someone steppin outta the norm to even test drive a kia
